These are optional additional questions that you can use in Lesson 1. Just use them if people like talking about the sermon, or if you feel it fits.
1. WB pg 8 - how we picture and experience God:
a. Pastor Gary contrasted the Old Covenant and the New Covenant, and said "I'm glad we're living in New Testament times". What's different about our relationship with God now?
b. Pastor Gary talked about the movie "My Sister's Keeper" and related the sacrificial giving of the younger sister (Anna) to her leukemia-stricken sister (Kate). How does this illustrate God's love?
2. WB pg 11 - forgiveness is the key to reconciliation - Pastor Gary shared the story of his son's and his own reconciliation with a neighbor. How does his story emphasize the importance of forgiveness? Have you had any similar experiences, either forgiving someone or receiving forgiveness? How did that impact you? Why is forgiveness so important?
